I Take Control

After almost two weeks of agony waiting for Comcast to send me a wireless router, I took matters into my own hands. I bought one from staples for 30 dollars and now I am fully functional on my new laptop. I'm so happy. I would be even happier if I felt better. That's okay though because life is good right now an I am not one to complain. In the way computers, I just bought the computer game Super Collapse 3. I remember wasting a lot of time playing games like this as a kid. It's like one of those games like Bejeweled and Text Twist. A puzzle game you play instead of working on whatever you are supposed to be doing. I haven't gotten around to playing it, but I'll give a review in a week or two. I also just installed Encylopedia Britanica thinking I havent seen one of these disks since my second computer. I had my first a long time ago, but it was a peice of junk 80's style computer. My second computer was a Windows 95 that was upgraded to a Windows 98 by the time it was given to my mother by one of her friends at work. I had the encyclopedia on that computer, but it was no longer functional when I upgraded to Windows 2000. So I'm very happy to have this sofware on my laptop. It may not be as effective on Windows 7 because it is better suited to Windows Vista, but it works just fine for me. I'll be back soon. Have a nice day.

Transfer Trama and Ending Olympics

Have you every tryed to move all of the files you use from one computer to another? If you haven't, try to avoid it for the rest of your life. If you have, I'm feeling that kind of pain. I knew it was going to be a hassle, but this is making me nauseous. Or maybe that's just my luck and I'm getting sick? Any who, I need to take my mind away from this topic. Who has been watching the Winter Olympics? I haven't. Well, that's a lie. I have been watching, but it's so depressing this year. Before the games started a competitor passed in the luge course. Then they had the nerve to show it on TV! I had to turn it before I saw what could not be unseen. It was as if everytime I looked, something bad would happen. The last time I looked, Apollo Ohno got discualified for the Men's 500m skate. Maybe I'm the unlucky one? I'll never know. But aside from all the bad things, so many good things have happened in return. I can't be too disappointed. One of my favorites was watching Shawn White win gold. To think he can only get better from here. Well, It's Four AM for me. Time for this insomniac to try and get some sleep. Good Night (Or Good Day depending on when you are reading).

New Top

I just purchased a new laptop to replace (for now) my sad little desktop. I keep forgetting my password for this site though. It's not easy being scatter brained. My thoughts are all over the place. Like how my wi fi isn't set up yet so I am running from my neighbors weak signal from my room. But at least I got lucky. This is my first time using Windows 7, and my first time owning a laptop. Yay. I didn't especially want an acer laptop, but it was paid for so who am I to be picky. As for Windows 7. It is a step up from Vista. I have worked of Windows 95, 95, 2000, XP, 2003, and Vista. Seven is a lucky number indeed. The taskbar is my favorite add on so far. I'm still toying witht this system. I like to multitask as I said the last time. The taskbar makes doing so a little easer. It groups the windows you open by program at the bottom of the screen. Just roll over the button and you can preview the windows you have opened. It even has a custom button for Windows Media Player which has me on cloud 9. Currently, I am transferring files from the desktop to the laptop by flash card. I'm almost done the tedious process. Once I get the router I need I will be back at 100%. Till Then!

Storms and Topics and Such.

Sorry I haven't been posting. Here on my little home island we gust got a taste of the tundra. My internet was shut off for a week and my power on and off for two weeks. I have never seen this much snow. Ever. I don't even own snow boots. A friend told me it's a sing. We'll be burred by snow in 2012. Somehow I know feel that's possible.
I almost forgot I need a topic for my blog. I really don't know what I want to focus on. In my mind, I'm always jumping from one thing to the next without any breaks in between. Like while typing this blog post, I was reading two others at the same time trying desperately to finish my paper and makeup work and I keep working on my little poster for Black History month. While all this is going on I have the lovely back round noise of my family because I currently have no laptop and I surely can't move this monster of a desktop into a quite spot.I know, it's probably not a good idea to multitask the way I do, but this what you learn in a marching band. It's now habitual.
I haven't seen my clarinet since I played for the ever classy "Into The Woods". I miss that. I plan on focusing more on piano and guitar now that I have the time. Music should be my topic. Why havent I thought of that before. It is the thing I have been interested in the longest. Wait...scrap that. I have been playing video games since age four or maybe even three. Maybe pop culture, even though I hate that word. Modern media or something like that. I'll get started immediately. Peace for now

Fresh Start

My first blog post ever. I never considered making a blog before. It's really weird. But I'll manage. My second semester in college and I'm being encouraged to use the internet. When I thought about blogging, the idea never appealed to me. My teacher encouraged the use of blogger, so I took a shot at it. I think it will be fun though. I might link this to my Facebook and Youtube channels. Now I can make use of my Google account as well. Being that I have to post something substantial, I'll move on.
The song "We Are The World" just came on. It reminds me of Haiti. Just the other day (I believe it was Tuesday) I went to go check my e-mail. Yahoo News had on it's front page that Haiti had been hit by a 6.1 magnitude aftershock. I never knew that something that powerful could be considered an aftershock. My heart goes out to everyone effected. I try to do as many little things as I can for the cause. Every little bit helps if your heart is in the right place. I think that is good place to stop tonight. Thanks for reading!
